Why Leather/Vinyl Car Bras Are Bad
As you can see, under this leather bra is a collection of dirt, leaves, and other nasty debris. The problem is that all of this embedded debris is slowing scratching and staining the very thing that you are trying to protect.
This is a Honda Fit with a vinyl bra. Clear bra paint protection would have been a better choice for this vehicle because it would be virtually invisible and probably would have cost about the same price. Red paint often shows its fading more quickly than other vehicle colors, and since paint under a vinyl bra will not fade with the sun, this can result in a two-tone hood if the vinyl bra is removed after a long period. Not good!
On a black car this bra is a little bit hidden. Too bad that
once it's removed the black paint will be all scratched up.
(You know how easily black paint scratches.)
A clear bra would have been a great contender here.
